Members of the public are invited to take part in a momentous performance of Handel’s famous Messiah as part of the 25 Anniversary celebrations of the Kinder Children’s Choirs.

The special event will be held on Sunday, 8th January 2017 at Buxton Opera House with top international opera stars, Yvonne Howard, Susan Bickley, Nicky Spence and Gidon Saks, and orchestra. Local people and supporters are invited to sign up to sing in an unforgettable concert.

The organisers plan to deliver an extraordinary show with ordinary people, through a fun, friendly approach. All KCC supporters and patrons, parents – past and present, alumni, friends and members of our audiences are encouraged to take part. No audition necessary. It is hoped that there will be a great mix of talent so that the participants who can will enable the people who can’t.
Weekly rehearsals will start after Easter on Wednesday 20th April 2016, at Whaley Bridge Uniting Church, from 8.00-9.30pm during school terms.

There will be two terms of rehearsals, April to July 2016 and September to December 2016, with a rehearsal at the beginning of January 2017 before the performance day.

Participants will be asked to commit to a minimum 75% of the rehearsal schedule. Subscriptions to take part will cost £50 per person per school term, or £25 per person per school term for students. Everyone will need their own vocal score of Messiah.
This is a unique opportunity to join together and raise our voices for a magnificent and uplifting performance.
